Jim Vosk - RHP

Jim Vosk A third-round selection (61st overall) out of Middletown High School (Red Bank, NJ) by the Boston Red Sox in the 1977 Amateur Entry Draft, Vosk pitched pitched for the Bristol Red Sox during the 1976 season when the team finished second in the Southern Division.

A highly touted prospect who turned down numerous scholarships to join the Red Sox organization, the powerful right hander pitched his Middletown High School Lions to a shutout victory in the finals of the 1971 Monmouth College Tournament and was named the tourney MVP.

During his high school career, he earned 3 letters in baseball and had a career record of 21-6, including 2 no hitters. Vosk's senior year, he threw 9 shutouts and went 11-3 for a weak hitting team. He struck out 120 batters and only allowed 4 earned runs in 92 innings.
